It looks like the URL redirect war is in full swing.

First there were the tertiary institutions:

Type “nusrejects.com” in your web address bar. You will be taken to NTU’s homepage.

Type SMUrejects.com in browser & be redirected to Prudential website

Type SUSSrejects.com in your browser & be redirected to SUSS’ actual website

Goes beyond those schooling

Then things took another turn with this:

SAFrejects.com URL redirects to smrt.com.sg

Engulfs other figures

Now, it would appear that the URL redirect war has escalated by consuming former presidential candidate Tan Cheng Bock.

The URL paprejects.com redirects to the Facebook page of the former PAP Member of Parliament (MP).

Adding to the potency of the saltiness, Tan’s Facebook page still displays the “Unifying Figure for Singapore” slogan cover photo from 2012.

Invited to lead opposition coalition

Some background: On July 28, 2018, Tan was invited to lead a coalition of seven opposition parties, a la Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad’s helming of the Pakatan Harapan coalition.

S’pore opposition parties okay with ex-PAP MP Tan Cheng Bock as their leader

The Singapore parties were the SDP, the People’s Power Party (PPP), the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), the Reform Party (RP), the National Solidarity Party (NSP), the Singaporeans First Party (SFP) and a new People’s Voice Party (PVP).

Tan said he would help but was unsure in what capacity.

If he does, he would have joined opposition politics — which to some is fulfilling a prophecy or simply taking things to their logical conclusion.
