Malaysia Human Rights Day celebration to be held on Sunday

KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 7): The Human Rights Day event to commemorate International Human Rights Day 2018, which was initially planned for tomorrow, has been rescheduled to Sunday (Dec 9).

The Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) chairman Tan Sri Razali Ismail told reporters today that the venue and time of the event, however, remain the same: Padang Timur in Petaling Jaya, from 9am-3pm.

He said the postponement was made on the advice of the authorities.

He added that Suhakam will be inviting Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to attend Sunday's event.
